There are several great hiking trails in Nash Stream State Forest. The trails to Victor Head and Bald Mountain are located within walking distance of the Lodge as shown on the above map. For other day hikes, you can drive to parking areas off Nash Stream Road and take trails to North and South Percy Peaks or Sugarloaf Mountain.
The Cohos Trail runs 170 miles from the southern end at Crawford Notch in the White Mountain National Forest through the Great North Woods to the northern end at the Canadian border in Pittsburg NH. The Cohos trail also connects to Sentier Frontalier’s trails to Mount Megantic and Mount Gosford in Quebec, Canada. This network is the only international trail system in New Hampshire and the second international pathway in the East. The Cohos Trail crosses Percy Road just 1.25 miles east of Percy Lodge and Campground. If you are not through-hiking the trail, there are some nice day hike destinations along the Cohos trail that can be accessed from various trail heads including:
Devil's Hopyard - accessed from parking lot at South Pond Recreation Area
Rodger's Ledge and Unknown Pond - accessed from trailhead at the end of Millbrook Road
Mt. Cabot Trail - accessed from trailhead at the end of York Pond Road
The Devil's Slide Trail is a 1.6 mile out and back trail to the top of the cliff that overlooks the covered bridge in Stark. It can be accessed from a small parking area on Northside Road located .82 miles west of the Stark covered bridge.
